There is no private visit with Santa and it is not designed as a children’s grotto experience. Instead, it is a grown-up Christmas night out, with falling snow, magical pathways, festive drinks, sharing food, music and candlelit Christmas atmosphere.

The experience has a more adult atmosphere, with festive cocktails, wine, prosecco, communal trestle-table seating, live piano and a candlelit singalong in the North Pole Lodge.

Alcohol will be available, so we recommend it for adults and older guests rather than young children.

Winter Garden After Dark takes place in the historic walled gardens of Fulham Palace, London.

The experience is set within the same magical Winter Garden world, but transformed after dark for an intimate grown-up Christmas evening.

Your evening begins with a glass of something festive before you step through the wardrobe and into the Winter Garden.

You’ll follow a snow-filled path through gently falling snow, twinkling lights and magical moments hidden along the way, before arriving at the North Pole Lodge for festive drinks, sharing food, live piano and candlelit singalongs.

It is an immersive Christmas experience designed to help grown-ups fall in love with Christmas all over again.

Festive food and drinks will be available throughout the evening, including sharing platters, seasonal drinks, wine, prosecco and Christmas cocktails.

We strongly recommend pre-ordering your festive sharing platters and drinks when you book your tickets, through our Christmas Feast bundles. This is the best way to make the most of your evening, with food and drinks ready for you to enjoy when you arrive in the North Pole Lodge.

You will also be able to purchase drinks on the night, but pre-ordering is the easiest way to settle in, raise a glass and enjoy the magic without having to think about a thing.

Exact timings cannot be quoted, but guests should expect the evening to last approximately 2 to 3 hours.

This gives you time to enjoy the snowy garden journey, drinks, food, music and the North Pole Lodge atmosphere without feeling rushed.

Part of the experience takes place outdoors in the walled gardens, including the snowy pathway and magical garden journey.

The North Pole Lodge area will provide a more sheltered, atmospheric space for festive food, drinks, music and singalongs.

Please dress warmly and wear suitable footwear for a winter evening. Festive sparkle is, of course, very welcome.

We are working carefully with Fulham Palace to make the experience as accessible as possible within the historic gardens.

Because capacity is so limited, private group bookings may be possible only by prior arrangement.
