Before meeting Santa, families arrive at North Pole Lodge — a softly glowing reception space tucked among the trees. Beautifully tented marquees, inspired by antique expedition shelters, are warmed with twinkling lights, festive greenery and the gentle hum of Christmas anticipation.
Inside, the atmosphere is relaxed and joyful. The Guardians of the Winter Garden, entrusted by Santa to guide families through the magic, drift between tables, sharing songs, stories and a little winter mischief, while families settle in with mugs of hot chocolate or mulled wine. Children can decorate biscuits, create simple Christmas crafts, and soak up the excitement — all designed to feel unhurried and welcoming.
It’s a moment to pause, warm up, and enjoy being together, before the adventure continues and it’s finally time to meet Santa himself.
